We are based at the Leeds Innovation Centre, a space which provides state of the art office and laboratory accommodation right next to the University of Leeds Business School. One of the most influential business schools in Europe, the University of Leeds Business School has received global recognition for the quality of its teaching and research. Its accreditations include ranking 1st in the UK and 4th in the world for its International Business course. Our location has enabled us to enjoy close links with the University of Leeds to the mutual benefit of Nochex and the University.
Nochex is proud to be a part of the Leeds Internship Programme, an initiative from the University of Leeds Careers Centre which offers 75+ paid opportunities exclusive to University of Leeds undergraduates and recent graduates in local SMEs, charities and University of Leeds departments.
Nochex Marketing Manager Peter Lyster employed penultimate year students Rachel Scott (BA Graphic Design and Communication) and Julia Mascetti (BA Music) for 8 week paid summer internships. On the Leeds internship programme, Peter commented,
“Nochex is proud of its connections with the University and we were keen to get involved with the Leeds internship programme. As a Yorkshire business, we feel a debt of gratitude to give something back to the community and help train the future workforce – and we believe our interns should be paid too! Having these fine young things around has been a real bonus for our business, providing both lots of very practical help and some excellent insight from people who are already our next generation of customers.”
As well as interns, Nochex has successfully employed of University of Leeds graduates and will continue doing so. As today’s A level results mark the influx of a host of new talent to the University of Leeds, we are reminded how lucky we are to enjoy such close links with a world-class academic institution.
